OnLive Renting and Buying
As many of you know, a new gaming system is coming out soon called OnLive. It is an on-demand game platform that is stored on a server and delivered online. Most computers will be compatible with OnLive as long as it is capable of showing video, and this should make OnLive very competitive in the video game market. It is due to release sometime this winter.
The word is that gamers will have the option of renting or buying games that they want to play. The length of the renting period is still unknown, but could possibly be 5 days to a week long. For those that wish to buy a game, obviously the game will stay in your account for as long as you wish and you can play it whenever you want to. There is also talk about a “trial period” for games when those that are thinking of buying a game can try it out for a few hours before having to make the choice to rent it, buy it, or stop playing it altogether.
There are many still skeptical of the efficiency of OnLive and if it will really entice gamers to leave the typical console video gaming system. Some have worries about the whole idea. OnLive is very much unlike any of the traditional gaming companies, like Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft. For those, you pay up front what you want for a game and you own it. For OnLive, you may end up paying monthly for a game. What happens if you decide you don’t like the game? Will you be able to sell it back to OnLive at a reduced price? What about transferring games to friends to play with you?
These questions, and many more, will need to be answered by OnLive before the proposed release date in the winter. To entice gamers to set aside their traditional consoles for something new, OnLive will need to make a cheap product that is effective. If not, OnLive may not make it through Christmas.

OnLive Makes New Game Experience
A new video gaming experience will soon be available with the release of OnLive. OnLive involves on demand games that people can play. The platform will be able to be used on almost any TV or computer. This new platform is being seen as a possible major competitor against the console market that includes Nintendo, Playstation, and Xbox.
Gamers will be able to download and play the game they want by using any computer that can play video, including both PCs and Macs. If a gamer does not own a computer, they can still enjoy OnLive by buying the MicroConsole, the console that OnLive is coming out with, and connecting this console to any TV. This new type of video gaming may really be the future for gamers.
Many have waited and expected to see this type of gaming on-demand for quite awhile now. It will be interesting to see how the new platform catches on with gamers and game designers. OnLive is due to be released in Winter 2009, probably in time for the Christmas rush. As we have seen over the years, video games typically make a bunch of money during the Christmas season. OnLive will probably be no different.
There are those who are critical of the mark OnLive and other on-demand gaming experiences could make on the video gaming world, but more than likely video game consoles will go to the wayside like videos and video stores. Gamers want their games quicker and easier. OnLive makes getting a game much easier and gameplay should be even more efficient. As games are developed for OnLive, Grand-Cheats will continue to update with plenty of OnLive cheats and codes!
